There are several ways to generate revenue with your local NightOut business. With limited expenses and no royalties to pay, the money you earn is yours to keep. How much you can earn is only limited by the size of your market area and your personal efforts and abilities.

You can generate income from:

PROFILE SALES

You or the merchant can create Business Profiles on your NightOut site. Full access profiles allow the business to post specials and events on your calendar, link to their webpage, display their menu, post pictures and videos, and even more. You are able to set your own pricing, but licensees commonly charge from $30 to $60 per month for each profile. There is no limit to the number of profiles you can place on your site.

BANNER ADVERTISEMENT

There are 57 Banner or Sponsor ad spaces incorporated into the home and category pages of your NightOut site. You can place multiple ads in each space and have them rotate based on criteria you determine. If you limit each space to 5 ads, you will have a total of 285 advertisement spaces to fill. You determine the price to charge for each space. Prices will vary based on whether the ad is on the home page, a category page, or all pages and where on each page the ad is displayed. Typical pricing ranges from as low as $50 per month for the lower visibility spaces up to $500 per month for the most desirable ad space.

NEWSLETTER

Your NightOut website is set up to collect and create an email contact list. We recommend that you develop a weekly newsletter of area specials and events or a weekly article about a local business. The newsletter is completely customizable so you can place as many or as few advertisements on the newsletter as you choose. You could choose to highlight several businesses in small banner ads or find one business to sponsor your newsletter. You could even do an entire newsletter as a paid promotion for one business. The newsletter ads can often be more valuable than the banner ads on your NightOut site because they are being sent to a target audience.

HOT TOPICS BLOG

Much like the newsletter, your Hot Topics Blog allows you to create your own post of area specials and events or write an article about a local business. It is designed specifically to be crawled by search engines to improve your SEO and create organic traffic to your site. You can sell advertising or have one business sponsor your Hot Topics Blog.

NIGHT OUT RADIO

Local Bands and Artists can upload their original music to NightOut Radio and their songs will be broadcast on over 200 NightOut Radio hubs across the US and Canada. Imagine providing a regional or even national audience to your local bands. There are additional banner ad spaces available to sell on the radio player. If you purchase the optional NightOutRadio license, you will be able to sell and place audio ads on the stations, do live broadcast or even create a completely independent local station.

Questions & Answers

Do I have to put all of the local businesses information into the website?

When you initially populate the site, you will have to enter the information for the local businesses. Much of this can be done programmatically but will require some editing and usually some additional details will also need to be added. After the site is populated and operational, the businesses can update their own information but many will want you do update the site for them. This can often be done for an additional fee.

Do I have to sign an agreement?

We have a basic licensing agreement which outlines the terms and conditions and defines your market area. You can select a one or a two year agreement.

Can I ever get out of the agreement?

Although the licensing agreement is for one or two years, we do not want to lock someone into a business that is not right for them. We want to build our business not on the security of an agreement, but on the success of our licensees. If you decide this business is not right for you, we will work to relicense the site.

Do I have to split my revenue with any one?

You do not have to revenue share any of the income from the sale of profile listings, banner ads, newsletter advertising, or any other revenue for ads placed on your site. Any of our products that require third party hosting, participation, or have a cost of goods such as NightOut Mobile Marketing, NightOut Radio, or any other such products pay a commission as a percentage of the sale. You keep 100% of the commission.

Do I need to know anything about website design or programming?

All of the programming, site maintenance, and upgrades are done for you. The daily inputs and updates that you would do are done through a very user friendly admin panel. We provide a help guide for each admin function plus an issues tab to contact us if you still have questions.

Who hosts the website?

We host the website for you. You don’t have to worry about the hosting company, the reliability, or speed of the service. We take care of it for you.

How do I pay my monthly licensing fee?

When you submit your license agreement, you will be required to provide a valid credit card. You will also be setting up an Automated Recurring Billing account, and the credit card you provide will be charged automatically on the first of each month. You can change or update your credit card whenever you need or choose to through the admin panel on your NightOut site.
